Hamlet Cause And Effect Essay - 1092 Words

American preacher, editor, and poet Edwin Hubbel Chapin once said that â€Å"every action of your life touches on some chord that will vibrate in eternity.† The quote explains that an individual s actions can have an effect on this world, another individual or another s life. One’s actions tend to demonstrate the characteristics of which they possess thus, defining them as a person. However, these characteristics and actions not only affect the individual, but others around them as well. This creates a cause and effect system throughout their life, which impacts various relationships for that individual. In William Shakespeare s play Hamlet, Hamlet’s actions have a tremendous effect on both the play and its characters. Hamlet’s hesitation,†¦show more content†¦Therefore, Hamlet suffers the consequences from the king and the family of Polonius. Hamlet’s hesitation leads the readers to the true understanding of his characteristics. However, hi s hesitation leads to the death of characters such as Polonius and even himself towards the end of the play. This all proves the cause and effect that Hamlet’s actions have on both the play and the characters themselves. As the hesitation that Hamlet possesses affect both the plot and its characters, his madness also contributes to the death of many characters within the play, having a cause and effect system on their lives. For example, at the beginning of the play, Hamlet pretends to be insane in order to confuse the rest of the kingdom. In his state of â€Å"insanity†, Hamlet forces himself into Ophelia’s bedroom, behaving like a mad man, both insulting her and announcing that he is no longer in love with her. â€Å"I have heard of your paintings too, well enough. God has given you one face and you make yourselves another. You jig and amble, and you lisp, you nickname God’s creatures and make your wantonness your ignorance. Go to, I’ll no more on ’t. It hath made me mad. I say, we will have no more marriages. Those that are married already, all but one, shall live. The rest shall keep as they are. Employers Through Increased Job Performance-Myassignmenthelp.Com

Question: Discuss About The Employers Through Increased Job Performance? Answer: Introducation The book talks about the management principles of business. The authors, Burrow, Kleindl and Everard wrote the book in the year 2017 but the book has been reviewed by many other writers in the consecutive years. The seven units majors on different principles that are around the Human Resource. According to Burrow (2007), there are some principles that governs the managers in the work place. Noe, R.A., Hollenbeck, J.R., Gerhart, B. and Wright, P.M., 2013. Gaining a competitive advantage. Irwin: McGraw According to (Noe et al., 2013), employees in the organization always compete to survive. There are a lot of challenges that people meet in working environment. The new recruits in the organization are challenged by the experts who have been in the field for long. The management team wants you to perform so as the organization can grow. It portrays the evidence of how the benefits are limited to the workers. The worker must compete for their advantage or else, one is considered as a non-performer. The competition is on the basis of production rate, workload assigned over time and the efficiency of the worker. Holding higher levels of performance guarantee a worker good reputation and a competitive advantage. Bessen, J., 2014. Employers Arent Just Whiningthe Skills gap is Real. Harvard Business Review, 25. According to Bessen (2014), employee and employers exists in a different world. Peter Cappelli and Paul Krugman (2014) attests the claims laid in this journal that employers feel like they are whining the employee when they dont see higher levels of performances in the organization. The gap of the skills that the employee claims to exist between the expected skill levels and the actual skill levels is unsatisfactory. However, it has been criticized by Paul Krugman that it is a Zombie idea. As he gives proofa that it is farfetched and skills cannot be measured and evaluated when somebody has not been given an opportunity to work. This makes the employee a minor factor when production and performance through technical skills is looked at. Job designs are therefore made to benefit the employers and not employees. Fu, W. and Deshpande, S.P., 2014. The impact of caring climate, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment on job performance of employees in a Chinas insurance company. Journal of Business Ethics, 124(2), pp.339-349. According to this journal, Fu and Deshpande (2014), examines the relationship among the caring climate, job satisfaction, commitments and job performance. Caring climate is seen to boost satisfaction and job performance. These two elements, that is, job satisfaction and performance are aimed at the benefits of the employers in increasing the performance of the employee. At this stage, the employee is passive in enjoying the benefits of the organization. Lee, J.J. and Ok, C.M., 2014. Understanding hotel employees service sabotage: Emotional labor perspective based on conservation of resources theory. International Journal of Hospitality Management, 36, pp.176-187. According to Lee and Ok (2014), an employee suffers Stress which occurs when there is a loss of resources, or sometimes when there is a threat of loss. According to the conservation resource theory, an employee is always under stress in the working environment. The emotions of the employee are in many cases under stress because failure to deliver would make him/her loose the job. The sense of job insecurity on the basis of performance is an evidence of the fact that, an employer is always the benefactor in the company or the organization. The management principles of service to the clients and management of the human resource may be well looked at and appreciated, however, the appreciation can only match the benefits to the employee. MBA Sample Essay - Previous Experience

As a Marketing Manager with ADPs corporate marketing department, I have been assigned to lead various product-specific marketing initiatives supporting a diversified group of business segments. Among these tasks, none was more important to the strategic direction of the business than leading the development of ADPs web site adp.com.ADP, a leading $5 billion technology company with over 425,000 clients worldwide, lacked a consistent or aggressive Internet strategy. Instead, each business unit or division was driving its own website strategy and execution. More often than not, the result was a fragmented message—a cluttered, company-centric website that failed to effectively communicate our broad range of products and services. Despite its market leadership, ADP was meeting neither the expectations of users nor the needs of clients. The company was also missing a tremendous marketing opportunity and risking losing market share because our competition was operating at a far highe r level than us. Realizing that Corporate Marketing could add value across the companys business segments, I initiated and led a plan to redesign the website and fully leverage the Internet as a marketing channel to drive branding, product awareness, and sales leads through an integrated and path-driven website. My role was specific: develop a strategy to improve navigation, communicate the complete range of ADPs products and services, optimize the flow of traffic to drive leads for the business segments, persuade visitors to purchase ADP products and services online, and create a platform for ADPs evolving E-business strategy. This initiative was highly challenging because of the complexity of the service offerings, the diversity of the business, and the overwhelming political bureaucracy within the organization. With a limited budget, limited resources, and limited supervision, I designed a four-phase strategy to re-evaluate the current website and replace it with an active, path-dr iven site. The strategy included a review of the companys current navigation and content, a strategic assessment mapping navigation and functionality against corporate and divisional objectives, and the design and architecture of the site. Furthermore, we developed a plan to validate our recommendation with market feedback through client and prospective client focus group interviews. The first phase encompassed an overall program review, analysis of all current ADP and industry Internet market research, a web traffic audit, and internal interviews with senior management. In familiarizing ourselves with current industry practices, we also reviewed 10 competitor and 12 business-to-business-leaders websites. These 22 sites were carefully evaluated for their relative strengths and weaknesses in the areas of navigation, content, degree of user-centricity, and organization. The second phase included a design exploration. Working together with a web design firm, we developed five different design options. In phase three, we gathered market feedback through focus group interviews conducted with both clients and prospects based on the current web site and on 5 new design options. The final phase involved feedback-based revisions to the designs, which will be presented to ADPs Executive Committee in April and launched in May 2000.The project was a success. Our recommendation was received with exceedingly positive feedback by both the business units and the Executive Vice President of Marketing. In addition, I have been awarded with the honor of presenting the project to the Executive Committee in April. Our long-term goal is to develop an entire adp.com team dedicated to servicing clients and marketing on the Internet. The management skills I have gained from this project have been invaluable to my career growth. I have learned the value of qualitative and quantitative research, experience in fiscal management and project management, and the importance of matching corpora te strategy to Internet strategy. More importantly, the experience has taught me the value of gathering senior management buy in through the progression of a project. I was able to successfully gain the support of senior management by maintaining open communication and making them part of the process. Ultimately, this support was critical to the success of the project, which has brought my department and myself increased visibility within the company—a development that, in turn, has led to more important projects. Through the success of adp.com, I am now regarded as an effective and respected manager who has the ability to analyze and lead complex projects from concept to completion while gaining the support of senior management.

Judging A Politicians Worth By Sex Essays - Rodham Family

Judging A Politician's Worth By Sex Essays - Rodham Family Judging A Politician's Worth By Sex Judging a Politician's Worth by Sex Is it fair to measure a politicians public worth by his/her sexual behavior? This a question which has been brought before me and requires an answer, or a position on which I stand, fair or unfair? Well, I think it is fair. After a two-year scandal involving President Bill Clinton and his sexual escapades with different women besides his wife, I cant help but see a direct comparison in this question. Using President Clinton works as an excellent example as to why I take the position I do. For obvious reasons a politicians public worth should not only be measured by his/her sexual behavior, but this should be an important consideration. Every time a new president is elected they are sworn in, they raise their right hand and swear to approximately 272 million people to uphold certain duties as president. Each time a president neglects to uphold one of these duties or if he/she is found to be committing a crime, a process is followed to decide whether or not the president should be impeached. If the act is found to be minor or not an impeachable offense, business continues as usual, but the dignity or public worth of this individual has to be questioned by the public, because as the employers of these poli ticians it is our duty. Now even though it might not seem relevant to use the president, or any politician being sworn in as a valid example, in comparison to marriage vows, I think it is valuable. Along with marriage comes a word called fidelity, this is usually touched upon at the ceremony or even before, this means to be faithful and loyal. When a person such as President Bill Clinton, or any politician professes his/her love and fidelity to his/her life partner, which is only one person, then without any regret, completely disregards those promises. How can a politician like this make a promise or swear to uphold certain duties to approximately 272 million strangers and be trusted? In my opinion that is the exact definition of public worth. Whatever goes on between consenting adults in private is nobodys business but their own, and that holds for sex as for anything else. Why should anybody even care whether Mary has fifteen lovers or none, whether Jack prefers sex with Bill to sex with Jane, or whether married couples like to swing with other married couples. Just because you personally disapprove of such things doesnt make them wrong. We all have the right to live our lives as we see fit as long as we dont interfere with the rights of others to live their lives as they see fit. Promiscuous people, homosexuals, and swingers dont tell you how to live your life. Dont tell them how to live theirs.(Olen & Barry pg.82) In essence I completely agree with this statement, but for a politician whose personal life is completely in the eye of the public especially when there is a scandal involving his/her sexual endeavors, this becomes a measurement of their public worth. These politicians are well aware of how their lives will be affected in the world of politics and this is something they must keep in mind when entering a situation that might compromise their worth to the public which elected them. I feel strong on my position and think if the economy wasnt doing as well as it is the Bill Clinton scandal would have been worse for him. Im not a political buff or analyst by any means but before the Bill Clinton sex scandal my opinion of his public worth and his principals were much greater than after the scandal. That might not be completely fair but it is my opinion.

Understanding of the Mind and Its Processes Essay

Understanding of the Mind and Its Processes - Essay Example This paper illustrates that our vision is based upon a two-dimensional image despite the fact that it is attempting to perceive a three-dimensional world. As a result, we depend to a great extent upon our imaginations to fill in any missing elements of the visual puzzle we are confronted with, which may be accurate or inaccurate and it is up to other areas of our mind to decipher the truth. Perception, then, is what we first believe we have seen and then becomes adjusted as we begin to process this information through other areas of the mind based on information we remember or understand from previous experience. In addition to what we perceive through our fallible senses, we are also struggling to understand the world around us through what we can pay attention to, which has been proven to be limited, and what we are able to remember, which is limited by what we can imagine and further shaped by our perception of the event. As if this wasn’t enough information to try to juggl e around, how our perceptions are governed by our sensations and our memories and how these interact and combine to reshape our perceptions, there is another element that must be considered in cognitive science regarding what it means to be conscious and where the link is between the biological, material processes of the brain and the immaterial untraceable processes of the mind. Many people have made the connection between the brain and the computer and the mind and the software that runs the computer, but science has demonstrated that these processes are much more complex than the relationship between the newest Dell model and Windows Vista. While we attempt to define what it means to be conscious, we realize that we are only aware of ourselves as conscious because we can compare ourselves to something else – we are like something.
