Augustus reigned from 27 BCE to 14 CE after his great-uncle, Julius Caesar, was murdered. The Pax Romana was a time of Roman peace after many civil wars which had occurred after Julius Caesar’s death due to the fact that Senates wanted to attain the power of the throne.
